1:1 dog training in Annan, Carlisle and Dumfries
Calm, practical support for real-life training challenges — helping worried or overwhelmed dogs and their guardians feel better understood.
When everyday life with your dog starts to feel harder than it should…
Walks feel stressful, communication feels unclear, or you’re starting to lose confidence in certain situations. You might be unsure where to begin, or worried that your dog wouldn’t cope in a class environment.
Personalised 1:1 training for everyday challenges such as:
- Loose lead walking and pulling on walks
- Recall that isn’t reliable
- Barking at visitors, noises, or outside distractions
- Struggling to settle at home or in new environments
- Reactivity or over-arousal around other dogs or people
- Confidence building for nervous or overwhelmed dogs
If this sounds familiar, book a free initial call and let’s work out the right starting point for you and your dog.
Together, we look at what’s happening in your dog’s day-to-day life and introduce practical, achievable strategies that feel manageable and sustainable.
Sessions are tailored to your individual dog, and where helpful, may include scent-based activities to support calmer thinking, focus, and confidence.
Who 1:1 support is for
1:1 training is often the right choice when you’re looking for thoughtful, individual guidance and steady, supported progress.
This approach may suit you if:
- Walks feel difficult to manage
- Your dog struggles to stay connected or focused outdoors
- Confidence has slipped – yours, your dog’s, or both
- Previous training didn’t feel right or didn’t work long-term
- You’re unsure what the next step should be
1:1 training is suitable for dogs of any age, breed, or background. No previous training experience is required.
Sessions meet you both where you are, allowing progress to develop at a pace that feels realistic and sustainable.
If you’re unsure whether 1:1 support is the right starting point, we can talk it through together.
The Creative Canine process
We start with a free call
We begin with a free initial call so we can talk through what’s currently happening and decide whether 1:1 support feels like the right starting point.
Initial consultation comes next
Training then begins with an initial consultation, where we explore your dog’s behaviour, environment, and day-to-day challenges in detail. From the very beginning, guidance is introduced in a way that feels manageable and achievable, often incorporating scent-based activities tailored specifically to your dog.
Following your consultation, you’ll receive a detailed email recap outlining observations, management strategies, and recommended next steps.
Ongoing supported training packages
Ongoing packages allow us to build progress gradually through regular sessions, supported by guided practice between appointments.
WhatsApp support is included throughout your training package, allowing you to ask questions, share updates, upload training videos, and receive feedback between sessions. This ensures you feel supported as real-life situations arise, rather than waiting until the next appointment.
A review call to round things off
Support continues for two weeks after your final session, followed by a review call to help you feel confident moving forward.

Her positive energy and willingness to help makes the sessions enjoyable for everyone and are extremely rewarding.
“Krysia came to us at just the perfect time in Finn’s development, the scent work that we’ve been introducing into his every day play has been great to tire him out both physically and mentally.
He’s also turning into the perfect walker with the lead work that we’ve all been learning thanks to Krysia. She takes the time to get to know you and your dog, but also what you are hoping to achieve with her help.
Her positive energy and willingness to help makes the sessions enjoyable for everyone and are extremely rewarding. We have been lucky to see immediate results, and with Krysia on hand if any extra help is required, we have felt looked after even in SOS moments with puppy tantrums!
If you need help with your dog at any stage of their development give Krysia a call. We are so grateful to her for everything she has done, and we will look forward to continuing to working with her!”
